Our Mission:
To improve the lives of AIDS Orphans & Vulnerable Children, Widows and people living/affected with HIV/AIDS (PLWH/PABA).Through: Counseling, Education, Enlightenment, Stigma/discrimination reduction, Care and support.
Our Vision:To reduce the growth of HIV/AIDS drastically to the barest minimum and those infected/affected are treated accurately and allowed to live free of stigma, discrimination and shame with access to drugs. Provide advocacy and handle legal issues affecting PLWH/PABA. Help members play key role(s) in the prevention and control of these HIV/AIDS epidemic, with mindset of safeguarding the entire populace.
It was a group of 3 people, which started this Care, and Support group. It operates on 3 levels: Counseling, Anonymous follow-up for patients, Home Base Care/Visit & the Medical help with provision of support for the infected and affected.
The nature of these NGO's service is Human Oriented and centered. Its adequately involved in the eradication of the HIV/AIDS epidemic in our local environment and beyond through its preventive and awareness programmers.
* Geographic area served: South Eastern States of Nigeria.
There are follow-up opportunities for clients and family Members. As described; if the patient contacted the organization when ill, the patient is followed up from the hospital to the home where family members are also trained on the case and nutrition of the patient.
